Rumparooz G2 Product Review

Rumparooz G2 Pocket Diaper Review

So here is my review from 2010-2014 and our use of these Pocket diapers with our firstborn- our daughter GraciBelle from about 3 months of age till this year, at 3. She still does fit in them, but she has a tendency to pee through so they are not as effective for us anymore for night ware.

These are one of the few diapers that have the double gusset and poop scoop to keep "things" contained. I was amazed that very few other diaper sellers had the double gusset.

Cloth Diapering in review

Our Cloth Diapering Experience With Child #1

Cloth diapering,  in this age of throw away everything. Of Advances in health, technology, and labor saving devices, WHY on earth would ANYONE choose to go back to cloth diapers, right?

Well we did, and yes helping the environment, and being responsible stewards of our home is a great and honorable motive- we honestly did it because it was cheaper.

Did someone order a goat?

There's a Goat and it's Eating my Garden!

So its a nice day, just put the garden in for the spring. New plants all put in, all my hardier starts are in. I'm standing in my kitchen and what do my wandering eyes behold? Movement. Its big and brown whatever it is. So I look again
... its... its... its a GOAT!

Where in the world did that goat come from? I don't know be he's eating my garden, enjoying himself, and I'm not pleased. So I yell to the household "There's a goat in my garden"! They all look at me like I started speaking alien or Greek or calculus, and so I repeat myself: "There is a GOAT outside, in my garden, and he's destroying it"!

Finally my words penetrate and everyone rushes to the back door. Sure enough... there he is. I will say he's such a friendly guy. We finally led him to the blackberry bushes, where he could eat a liberty with our blessing. But still... the task of getting him gone.

The overbearing task of reducing excess- AKA Selling extra stuff from the garage.

The Greatest Step Towards a Life of Simplicity is to Learn to Let Go
We've all been there-
We've collected so much stuff over the years, our lifestyle changes, or the kids grow older, maybe our bodies change ( ahem), or whatever it is. We're then faced with the sometimes daunting task of either donating our unused items (by far easier), or trying to get some of the money back.

Personally for small miscellaneous items, I usually just donate (I'll be honest- Garage sales scare me). But as we own our own home, need a new roof, our cars are nearly 20 years old, and are expecting our second child- the "Responsible" thing to do would be to try and reclaim at least a portion of the money for our gently used items, right?

I love nice, open, simple organized spaces (not that my house is ever really as clean as I'd like- seriously a disaster zone). But going into my husbands "man cave" terrifies me! And of course that's where we store all the unused items to get them out of the way.

I would think a normal person would set these items (which were in boxes typically by the way) in a neat and tidy stack, out of the way so one could still walk around and have free access to all the things one

Starting up Gratitude Ranch and a Shout out to SFG

Gardening… Ahh yes. The fragrance of the fresh dew upon the morning grass, the thankful earth after a much needed shower, soft grass between your happy toes, the deep feeling of satisfaction during the summer harvests, and yes- the money saved on grocery bills.
I love gardening. It was not something I grew up doing. But as many of you will well know, I love reading. If I can do enough research on something- I can do it!
I had only been really gardening for a handful of years now, and all my indoor plants failed to

The Birth of a Blog

So our journey together begins... the dreaded and greatly anticipated balancing act of blogging. To be honest this is something I have deliberated over and really desired to do for years. As I tend to be a bit of a research nut, and an odd ball who likes to walk a fine line between traditional and modern, I have wanted to blog in hopes of sharing the hodgepodge of interests I’ve delved into with other interested parties out there. I am certain many will not be attracted to all my areas of interest, but perhaps a category here or there may resonate heartily with some.
So please, bear with me as I start out in bringing forth this blog, with tenderest care and many labors of love. Hopefully we may be mutually inspired.
Fondest hopes to all,

Amanda
